Okay, here's my horror story. feel free to skip it.
Why I will be a former customer soon - they will shut your account off in 24 hours if they receive ONE SINGLE unsubstantiated claim that your website is cited in a junk mail message. *Not sent thru their servers* - just a message traversing anywhere on the planet that references one of your URL's.
Rochen notified me this morning that one of my URL's would be suspended (part of a reseller account) in 24 hours because the message header of what *they suspected* to be UCE that they included had my customers URL contained within. So, since 1 person on the planet complained that they received 1 message with my customers URL, my customer was violating Rochens AUP, and would be shut down.
I fully support Rochen in their anti-spam efforts. I fully back their right to do so.
I simply asked for a greater than 24 hour period in order to non-disruptively migrate my customers web content to a new host. I asked, since I presumed that [read more...]

😠 Nothing special about this host except a truely careless support
I have hosted a website with this terrible company (obsessed of saving money and cutting corners) they claim to have a support but you need to be careful, as they do not offer tech support, Ive never asked them one thing (be it damn simple) and they have done it, always have to rely on my techies to do basic simple things, while other hosting companies tend to be helpful, rochen will never be. the easiest solution for them when you have loads of traffic is basically shut you off, despite the fact I told them that I suspect something is wrong about my traffic before. they are rude, and they have changed their security policy and the backup vault policy three times in less than a year, (which tells you a very bad security policy in the first place) I can backup my word with full logs which im keeping to lodge a court case against them.

Love it when you have to tell them what domain you're opening a ticket for, when it's IN the ticket. That's just sets the tone for the type of half-ass support you'll get. If you don't have time to update a ticket within 24 hours it will be closed. Then you have to start all over again. The final straw was the point they told me to open a second ticket for another guy because the Joomla install wasn't working. I told them exactly where the install failed and they already had my credentials. They could have logged in as me and duplicated the error a million times but they wanted step by step instructions on what I did. They literally said, "Start with opening the browser." There is only one path to get to the install. It's not like I could have taken any different steps than the normal user. The answer is, they are condescending punks who act like brats when they don't understand a problem. I'll spend my money elsewhere. 😠 We had some issue in the past because of one problematic site then today intended to order a new hosting but guess what they said:

😠 The server was constantly down (server was Broome for you Rochen customers) and the support seemed to suffer from bi-polar disorder. They were either very friendly, or extremely annoyed.
Rochen billed my client twice (when she no longer had an account with them), then accused me of "threatening them" for saying they'd need to refund her money or a complaint would be filed with IC3. Rochen even admitted they were wrong, but not before writing me a 500 word response telling me reasons why I'm the one who's to blame. Right. I'm to blame because one of your techs didn't delete the billing profile for a closed account on a system I have no access too. Idiots.
Wondering why the forums are so positive? They instantly banned me before I could write a testimonial.
I would highly advise against using Rochen. Look into cloud hosting or slice/linode hosting.
