😠 6 days of incompetence
Their website advertises a 2 hour set up time to start a reseller VPS account with Plesk. In reality, I waited more than 2 full days and called for support more than once to tell them the set up didn't complete correctly. Once it was finally set up, I found Plesk to be impossibly slow and it only worked for 20 minutes before it crashed with the error '503 - Service Not Available'. After more support calls, I waited 2 or 3 more days and nothing changed. I asked for a cancellation. Suddenly, a customer relations guy called me and I said 'if you can fix this today, I'll consider staying on'. I was assured it could and would be done. It wasn't. A further 2 days later, my control panel was still broken. On top of all this, I was bombarded for days with incomprehensible 'failure notice' emails related to the broken control panel - about 300 in all. 😠 The worst customer service EVER.
If you need help don't even try. They have the worst customer service and technical support of any hosting company I've ever used. When told I could't access my server because the root password they gave me sucks they told me to .... wait for it ... access the server and create a new user to... you guess it! - access the server. Jeez.

Myhosting.com service has been very good. We have hosted with you since last 5years and at no time we have our website shutdown or visitors complained to us having difficulty in accessing it. My company website was formally contracted to a vendor who manages the hosting. No sooner I joned the company, I opted to host it directly without intermediary. The vendor had told me that the domain cannot be available for my company except we continue the hosting with him. Succour came when I log on for online customer support from my cpanel. The agents were able to guide me to require the vendor to use his admin e-mail to request for separation of account and I can host directly. Meanwhile, hosting period expired in the process and my website was never shutdown with over month. I appreciate for the knowledge and understanding.

It's kind of hard to do a whole lot of elaboration, only because the service has been relatively transparent (which is a good thing). The simple answer is that it always works, and I've never had any trouble whatsoever with any aspect of my website. Maintaining it is easy, and I've never had any sort of misunderstanding or problem regarding billing or support. Sometimes simple is good. I've only had to seek support a couple of times, when I was just getting started, and it was so long ago that I can't even remember the details. I do know that the help I've received has always been prompt, knowledgeable and friendly.

I purchased a build your own VPS (linux), now I have run VPS's with 1Ghz CPUs and 1GB of RAM, but plesk runs extremely slow on their servers. I also had a problem where they apparently don't let your VPS run it's own mail system. When I couldn't figure out why my emails were being rejected, I found out I had to set a a new spf record to use their relay server for sending mail. Another downside to this is bulk emails get rejected as spam directly from their relay. The 800 number tech support is a joke. They know nothing about what you are talking about. They claim to be a US company but their tech support employees have english as a second language. Overall, you get what you pay for. Never again will I go cheap on a VPS.

Easy to use for the most part though sometimes I get lost in the control panel when I login. A lot of options to peruse when you are in the control panel. Very good customer service. I've only had a couple of times where I've had trouble and the attendant wasn't understanding my specific request, a lot of problems it seems with having to spell and re-spell the domain I'm asking about, I have several dozen domains and hosting accounts I manage there.

Overall we are satisfied with myhosting.com services and we feel myhosting.com do best in web hosting, domain registration hosting and email hosting. Myhosting.com is very user friendly and you don’t have to be expert in IT to know how to benefit from the features as everything is explained well and if there is any doubt about any feature or service by contacting the support team we will always get the answer.

We had contacted Customer Support more than once and we can say that the response time in general was good keeping in mind different timing between myhosting.com and our country when we are contacting by mail. Sometimes when we call we have to wait for long time until we get a respond. The staffs which we dealt with were user friendly, some of them were with good experience and the other was excellent. Usually we are asking about upgrading, changing domain, possibility of doing some new features in our web services.

My early problems were resolved quickly, intelligently and courteously. Since the service has been nearly flawless which is exactly what I wanted in a Microsoft Exchange service. It has been even more reliable than my experience at Microsoft! More importantly their customer service grasped the problems quickly without me having to go over and over what the nature of the problems were. I do a lot of troubleshooting myself so this is important. Tech support calls with other companies are invariably unending discussions where they completely ignore the information I give them, and instruct me to run ridiculous tests that are apparently in a script their reading.

Several times I needed some help and used the knowledge base, support via mail or live support. They all work great and are satisfactory for getting the problem solved in a very short time. The customer service agents I communicated with were all very friendly and really went for a solution for my problem. I never had the idea that support left me to deal with my problem myself. They handled it like you would expect your problem to be handled.

myhosting.com has hosted my website since before I knew what a website was. Over all of this time, they have provided excellent support and unblemished service. The self-help tools and control panel leaves nothing to be desired. I particularly enjoy the ability to use ASP on my main domain, and PHP on a subdomain. The email administration is straightforward and highly useful. Overall, I can't think of anything that I would change.I rarely interact with customer support, which is a good thing: as long as the site remains up and trouble-free, I prefer managing my own settings through the provided control panel. The few times that I have had to contact the support personnel, they have always been prompt and helpful.

I found the registration process very easy to use, the rates are reasonable, the site is always up, and I can get good statistics. I have *never* had any problems with their service, while I've heard horror stories about other ISPs. I had an issue with billing, because my credit card expired, and the new one had a different number, which caused me not to have access to some services. Customer Support was able to help me fix this problem with a quick email. I am very happy with their service.

😠 I have been with 1and1.com for 10 years. I thought they were dropping in support so I switched to myhosting.com. VERY BAD IDEA! This company has TERRIBLE support. I waited over 30 minutes and finally got someone from wherever (not Canada or the US) who barely spoke English and had no idea about my rather simple email question.

I refuse to deal with companies who waste their customers time with offshore "support" by people who are language challenged and cannot provide even basic support. They are a waste of time and money and the sooner companies like myhosting.com wake up to this the better.

As for now, I am going back to 1and1.com, while not perfect, is miles ahead of myhosting.com.

I was concerned about their "100% Uptime Guarantee" I suppose it makes sense to guarantee it based on the SLA which excludes the maintenance windows we're all used to experiencing with shared hosting, but threw me off a bit at first.

Overall though the price and the support make them a win win.

😠 I started with the company with their mail2web.com service, that was phenomenal with no issues. great service, support and setup assistance. but when we decided to move few corporate accounts on the exchange server to have sharing capabilities, we had to wait for over a week to get two accounts operational, then chat is nearly never available, all responses comes from myhosting.com support is just notification of escalation. The only people who finally assisted me were the mail2web.com staff who service consumer rather than business.

Plus their technical support people suffer from inability to continue on someone elses tickets, so I ended up dealing, talking, emailing and sometimes chatting with around 4 people who I had to describe the problem from the beinging!!

🗨 It's probably happened because of we were changing our system to Parallels. Now everything is working stable, without any problem. I cannot locate this customer and i'm not sure the comments are true. Anyway, if it's our mistake for some reason, we are very sorry. We never received a complaint like this.
