Core-Backbone Upgrades German Network Routes with Infineras GX Series - Infinera's GX Series ICE6 800G coherent solution has been implemented by global network provider Core-Backbone (core-backbone.com) (crunchbase.com) to upgrade and extend important network routes between Nuremburg and Munich, Nuremburg and Prague, and Hamburg and Düsseldorf. This has resulted in a doubling of network capacity on each network segment and a reduction in power consumption per bit.
By adding more network capacity and performance, this network expansion broadens Core-Backbone's reach across Europe for its high-capacity connection services.
Operating in Europe, Asia, and North America, Core-Backbone is one of the fastest-growing carriers in Germany. With the possibility to increase to 1.2T, Core-Backbone's network can supply capacity at 800G per wavelength using Infinera's GX Series, greatly improving network capacity at the lowest cost and power per bit.
