📅 - Ebone's (ebone.com) pan-European IP network is helpingBouygues Telecom (bouygtel.com), a French mobile telecommunicationsoperator, to deliver Web content and information from corporate intranets tocustomers' mobile phones, the companies announced yesterday.

Ebone's IP transit services were selected by Bouygues Telecom in order toprovide Bouygues' GPRS subscribers access to the Internet. Bouygues Telecom,which anticipated the growth of the IP based traffic, said it wanted Ebonebecause of the quality of its European network and network connection to theUS.
Ebone's IP services were also selected by Bouygues Telecom for the migrationof its Web portal, 6sens.com to which subscribers can have faster and morereliable access. This portal enables Bouygues Telecom users to customizetheir mobile phones to receive additional mobile data services such asrealtime information, news, financial information and weather forecasts.
Bouygues Telecom has been using Ebone's IP transit services to improve itsInternet access since August 2000. The company introduced Europe's firstvoice-activated virtual assistant for mobiles.
