Primary DNS - Control your DNS in a simple, easy-to-us interface that makes zone management easy for both single and bulk domain management. Set A & AAAA records, MX records, SRV records, CNAMEs and nearly all other available record types. ZoneEdit offers far more record types than your standard DNS management, and our time to live is unmatched in the industry. Each zone supports up to 100 records, and includes features such as reverse DNS and DNS load balancing.

Dynamic DNS allows you to keep your DNS current when you use a server with a constantly changing IP address. The possibilities for Dynamic DNS are nearly endless, but some popular uses include self- hosting websites from home with a cable or DSL connection, and setting up a VPN using a home network.

Secondary DNS - Included with each zone is a second nameserver to improve uptime and speed. Our network is located across the US and Europe for maximum reliability. MailForward allows you to forward email with a number of powerful options to manage forwards.
MailForward sets up hidden "MX" records pointing to our email servers. When we receive email for one of your addresses, our server forwards the email to the specified addresses. MailForward is included free with Managed DNS.

Failover

WebPark
WebPark allows you to park your domains with ZoneEdit and display either an "under construction" or "domain for sale" page. Included is the ability to set the page title, add text, and add meta information for search engines. WebPark is included free with Managed DNS.

How Failover works: Our service will monitor your web servers to make sure they’re online and responding. When our failover monitor detects that one or more servers are having an error, it pulls the IP addresses of those servers out of the available list and instead serves your website from the remaining available servers. When your servers come back online, the IPs will be restored and the server will begin receiving traffic again. If all hosts are down, we auto-forward requests to a location you specify.

Backup MX
If you run your own mail server, our backup mail service is essential to make sure you receive all of your important email. If your mail server is down or unavailable, Backup MX will accept the messages and then deliver them once your mail server is restored. Backup MX can be purchased for 1 credit per month.
